  • Conducting market research including, SWOT analysis, competitive analysis, product value proposition

  • Designing mid fidelity wireframes

Research: Customer and Product Discovery

Opportunity Discovery

To better understand the customer needs, I first had to define the problem. This was done by determining why the product should exist , before determining How the product will exist and fix the customer problem.

I explored the "Problem Mind Space" to identify the customers for this product

First step was to discover who is the customer through primary research, user interview and secondary research)

Drafting the Hypothesis

Hypothesis framework:

To draft the hypothesis, I started with some assumptions

Final Hypothesis:

Revolutionizing the process by which urban drivers comprehend intricate parking rules and regulations in various cities into simplified yet well-defined explanations will empower drivers to make informed parking decisions.

User Interviews: Questions

What specific parking challenges do you face during your daily commute and errands?

How do you currently search for parking information, and what do you find frustrating about existing solutions?

What factors matter most when choosing a parking spot (e.g., proximity, cost, safety, availability, reliability of information)?

How often do you experience penalties (e.g., tickets, towing), and what features would help you avoid them?

Would you be willing to pay for a premium parking service, and what monetization model would appeal to you (e.g., subscription, pay-per-use, ads)?

User Interviews: Main Response

Finding parking is time-consuming and frustrating, with challenges like high prices, unclear regulations, and a lack of available spots in busy areas.

Current solutions, like Google Maps and parking apps, are unreliable because they don’t always provide real-time availability or accurate parking rules.

Key factors when choosing a parking spot include price, availability, proximity, and safety, with cost being the biggest concern.

Parking penalties (tickets and towing) are a common worry, often due to unclear signage. Users want alerts or reminders to help them avoid fines.

People are open to paying for a parking service if it guarantees convenience, with a preference for pay-per-use or ad-supported models over subscriptions..
